Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this 1-year program (January 2022), you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multi-discipline team, under close supervision to support initiatives to improve processes and equipment reliability of the AML Inspection and Packaging plant. Identify and implement improvement initiatives to impact productivity and equipment uptime. The student will have the opportunity to support the performance improvements of critical processes in Amgen Manufacturing Limited.

  • Understand and generate Process Waste and Equipment Opportunities reports and forms.

  • Gather data from Equipment Manuals, Drawings, Schematics to determine opportunities in Process and Equipment.

  • Analyze weekly/monthly reports and dashboards to identify opportunities to improve process and equipment reliability

  • Analyze and define the plan to identify situations Equipment Reliability in the operations, in order to facilitate the generation of action plans to increase performance and reduce equipment downtime.

  • Perform other Engineering related tasks required like area layouts, workstation designs, and statistical analyses, as required.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Computer Literate

  • At Least 3.00 of GPA (General).

  • Have completed at least 3 years of college education

  • Be enrolled in School

  • English bilingual

  • Experience working with MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word

  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Beyond that, we prefer that the student possess:

  • BSIE/BSME student who has completed the following courses: Work Measurement and Work Stations Design if applicable.

  • Experience developing APPS or Programs

  • Experience performing time studies and workforce models.

  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Well Organized.

  • Enthusiastic about learning new concepts and work processes.

  • Proficient in the following software: AutoCAD, Solidworks or other Drawings Generating Software.

  • Experience in the use of Smartsheet and MS Forms (not required, but desirable)

  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing Environment (not required, but highly desirable)
