Amgen Process Improvement & Projects Control Manager in Istanbul, Turkey

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with FP&A and Accounting identify process improvement areas to maintain accurate books and records

  • Act as a Project Manager for key F&A projects (process & system) locally and regionally

  • Lead IICC process based on Risk & Control Matrix for Amgen TR & MN

  • Lead FRoP (Finance Review of Payments) process for Amgen TR & MN

  • Provide active support for the formalization and design of local procedures in line with Global policies

  • Monitor the definition and enforcement of Segregation of Duties in all departments

  • Increase the Control Awareness and Mindset in the organization

  • In coordination with Compliance Department, conduct specific reviews on Compliance processes, propose action plans and track progress

  • Lead Internal Audit preparation, act as a key point of contact before, during and after the internal audit

  • Ensure efficient processes and procedures are in place to monitor contracts (Business Development, Contract Manufacturing, rents, etc.)

  • Ensure Amgen Signature Authority is respected for all contracts.

  • Provide process support to various stakeholders (BU's, project teams etc)

  • Ensure correct reporting to TMEA/ICON management

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration of Industrial Engineering.

  • Experience of more than 5 years work in similar position in an international environment

  • Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning and internal control s.

  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication*Excellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively with cross functional partners and drive process improvement projects.

Preferred Requirements

  • Studies specialized in finance and internal control

  • Consulting background would be an advantage

  • MBA would be an advantage.

  • Experience in various areas of finance, accounting and internal control.

  • Experience of 2 to 3 years in a Management position within an international finance department would be an asset

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage; interest in the industry

  • Basic know-how of applicable laws concerning business admin, taxes (esp. VAT), accounting and consolidation.

  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP

  • Experience with Internal Control Systems.

  • Experience with SAP
