What you will do

In this vital role you will play a key role in a regulatory submission content automation initiative which will modernize and digitize the regulatory submission process, positioning Amgen as a leader in regulatory innovation. The initiative demonstrates pioneering technologies, including Generative AI, Structured Content Management, and integrated data to automate the creation, review, and approval of regulatory content.
Role Description:
The Digital Product Manager will be pivotal in defining and driving the vision and strategy for data products that support Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) Regulatory Submissions. Operating within a SAFe framework, this role focuses on improving the value delivered by aligning the team’s backlog with customer and collaborator needs. By collaborating closely with cross-functional collaborators across Operations and Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI), the Digital Product Manager will gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure seamless development. Acting as the key advocate for the data needs of customers and the business within the CMC domain, this role ensures alignment between strategic goals and implementation throughout the value stream. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in product management, exceptional communication skills, and expertise in Agile methodologies.

The Digital Product Manager partners with both internal and external collaborators to optimize processes and implement enterprise-wide solutions that enable transformative capabilities. This role is essential in delivering impactful digital products that streamline operations and support critical regulatory processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define and communicate the product and platform vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs of the business, collaborators, and regulatory obligations.
Collaborate with team members to gather, document, and refine product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with business teams, Scrum Masters, and development teams to plan and implement sprints, ensuring delivery of high-priority features that meet compliance and quality standards.
Find opportunities to improve the product, platform, or system and development processes, using data-driven decision-making to enhance the product while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Oversee the day-to-day management of technology platforms, ensuring they meet performance, security, availability, and compliance requirements.
Manage relationships with product, platform, and system vendors to ensure service levels are met and the organization derives maximum value while meeting regulatory obligations.
Ensure all platforms and systems align with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Oversee the management and operation of specific IT systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, availability, and compliance expectations.
Define, monitor, and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure services meet performance, availability, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the resolution of service-related incidents and problems, minimizing business impact while maintaining compliance.
Maintain detailed documentation of service processes, SLAs, and improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
Analyze performance data and feedback to inform product decisions while ensuring compliance requirements are considered.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into product performance, user engagement, and other key metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree with 4-6 years of experience in Product Owner / Platform Owner / Service Owner OR
Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience Product Owner / Platform Owner / Service Owner / Service Owner OR
Diploma with 10-12 years of experience in Product Owner / Platform Owner / Service Owner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management principles.
Experience with product backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure management.
Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and methodologies.
Solid understanding of technology, function, or platform.
Experience in developing differentiated and deliverable solutions.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Professional Certifications
- Relevant certifications in system management or specific IT systems (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

Work Hours:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. You are willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
