Amgen Senior Program Manager - JAPAC Regional Program Management (6-12 month contract) in Hong Kong, Hong Kong


  • Support driving large-scale cross-functional initiatives spanning commercial, medical, value & access, and other functions, consistent with regional priorities

  • Contribute to the development of high quality, integrated cross functional and implementation of initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with regional/country team members, senior leaders and the broader organization

  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve overall team effectiveness, include assessing, evaluating and recommending options for improvement

  • Ensure timeliness of regional deliverables

  • Leverage well developed interpersonal skills to build & maintain positive working relationships with customers and key stakeholders

  • Ensure that team decisions/recommendations are adequately communicated

Key activities:

  • Partner with Senior leaders to manage cross-functional team

  • Provide draft agenda, clear and meaningful summaries, minutes, memos etc. and effective follow-up on action items

  • Proactively communicates to the respective team members and team lead the status of outstanding action items and timeline for completion

  • Partner with program management colleagues to ensure adequate understanding of global/regional/country challenges

  • Lead application of SCI best practice project management tools

  • Shares best practices across teams in region and across regions to leverage lessons learned

  • Modify, format, update agenda and coordinate pre-reading materials

  • Help to prepare meeting minutes and track actions as appropriate

  • Maintain document sharing tool site

  • Upload all information/materials to the right area

  • Grant relevant access right appropriately


  • Degree in Life Sciences or a relevant field

  • Advanced degree preferred (MSc / MBA) or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training


  • Experience in a pharmaceutical industry Project Management role

  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams

  • International collaboration and experience of working with different cultures
