Amgen Regional Digital Engagement Lead in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

The Senior Manager of JAPAC Digital Engagement will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, services, and capabilities to help driving regional business growth through customer digital engagement and enabling operational excellence via sustainable process automation.

Help define new and support existing sales & marketing channels to drive innovation via integrated technology across the Commercial landscape. Core responsibilities include leveraging existing technologies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the sales and marketing process. Learning about new technologies that can support commercial processes will be critical in the ever-changing space of pharma. This is a cross functional role that requires collaboration with peer groups across different organizations and functions.

Position, with possibly around 30% traveling, is based in Hong Kong where the JAPAC regional HQ is.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business and function teams in JAPAC to develop and implement effective strategies to maximize the effectiveness of these organizations.

  • Effectively define, manage, deliver and maintain a service based portfolio which aligns with the JAPAC business strategic direction.

  • In collaboration with business stakeholders of these functions design, deliver and maintain multi-year portfolio capability and technology roadmaps.

  • Direct the IS team and vendors in the delivery of IS services and solutions that align with JAPAC capabilities roadmaps.

  • Bring awareness of new technologies and products to business stakeholders and incorporate in the capability and technology roadmaps as applicable.

  • Establish external networks and engage as appropriate to ensure strategies are developed with appropriate consideration of environmental factors, competitive intelligence and/or awareness of new possibilities offered by information technology.

  • Influence the development of business area strategy where appropriate.

  • Liaise with IS shared services areas within Commercial IS as well as within GBS / Enterprise IS in order to deliver cross-functional initiatives

  • Participate in the leadership of Global Commercial Operations IS Product Promotion (GCO IS PP) and in representing JAPAC in defining and maintaining effective integrated Service Management model interactions with enterprise infrastructure and platform capabilities groups.

  • Serve as a role model for Amgen leadership behaviors.

  • Serve as a mentor to high potential Amgen employees with potential for accelerated development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree & 6 years of Information Systems experienceOR Bachelor's degree & 8 years of Information Systems experience AND

  • 4 years of project management experience directly or indirectly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, advanced degree in technology (Engineering, IT, CS) or business management.

  • Good experience in multichannel management, patient support programme

  • Good knowledge with Salesforce.com and Veeva platforms

  • Excellent executive level influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with key business partners, IT leadership teams, and external services providers.

  • Demonstrated ability for strategic IT planning and roadmap development.

  • Curiosity of new domain and learning agility

  • Familiarity / experience with the following technologies and solutions: CRM, customer service operations and call center technology, data analytics, reporting and presentation tools, and multi-modal information / data dissemination and presentation (e.g. web, mobile etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across a matrix organization.

  • Strong organizational, planning and financial management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.

  • Understanding of health care compliance requirements and principles.

  • Working knowledge of LEAN/AGILE software development methodologies.

  • Experience in enhancing organizational talent through staff development.

  • Strong influence and leadership skills, ability to operate across boundaries (internally/externally)

  • Ability to translate strategies into tangible pragmatic executable plans

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry

  • Organizational change management and project management skills
