Amgen Product Manager - Bone Franchise in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Accountabilities to local brand lead of BONITA franchise/BU Lead/Country Lead

  • Work cross functionally to ensure the benefits to patients offered by Amgen's products can be optimized

  • Devise & implement plans in line with global/regional guidance to build the brands & grow the business of the franchise

  • Ensure all plans & initiatives are adhered to highest level of integrity and Amgen Values

Responsibilities

  • Insight Generation

  • Initiate and conduct market research when necessary, analyses findings and develops POA accordingly

  • Build network with key external stakeholders (e.g. orthopedic surgeons, endocrinologists, geriatricians, etc.) to gain insight about the unmet medical needs

  • Identifies new business opportunities, develops business cases & plans for securing resources to realize the potential of the opportunities

  • Planning, Execution & Cross-Function Collaboration

  • Develops LRP, annual budget & quarter latest estimates with finance co-workers

  • Develops and implements annual Country Brand Plan/Local Product Strategy (LPS) in full congruence with regional guidance

  • Proposes national budget, sales target and achieves agreement with Country Lead, Local Brand Lead and Sales Leaders

  • Update demand forecast monthly and work with supply chain to ensure stable supply of responsible products

  • Designs and executes promotional activities (detail aids, message scripts, advertising, congresses, etc.) in line with regional guidance and the approved local plan

  • With support from Value Access & Policy (VA&P), take the ownership to:

  • propose and executive pricing strategies of responsible products

  • plans and executes hospital formulary listing activities (e.g. DAC & DTC listing)

  • design and executes Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) & Patient Support Programs (PSPs)

  • Support VA&P manager together with medical to implement advocacy plan when the initiatives are related brands, public education, screening, etc.

  • Engage and enable (provide training, appropriate materials, etc.) sales force to achieve brand aspiration (cycle and launch meetings)

  • Partners with the local & regional medical counterparts to optimize the brand performance (goals of clinical trials, KOL development, etc.)

  • Agrees with other PMs in the affiliate on joint projects

  • Coordinates competitive intelligence and drives competitive action plans

  • Manage OSE budget to ensure management result can be achieved

  • Recruits and manages external vendors

  • Track and report the brand performance regularly based upon the agreed KPIs included in LPS or other commercial plans

  • Compliance

  • Ensure all activities, campaigns and materials:

  • are reviewed & approved according to the corresponding SOPs

  • comply with internal policies and local code of practices

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic education or experience from similar positions

  • Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in industry

  • 1 to 3 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing function

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

  • Financial and budgeting skills and experience

  • Documented track record of product launch

  • Computer skills (MS Office programs)

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in a big pharmaceutical company in the local market

  • Documented experience in bone or other primary care therapeutic area will be a plus

  • Documented success in gaining or maintaining market leadership position

  • Proficiency in Cantonese
