Amgen Manager- Medical Communications & Education in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Purpose

To provide strategic direction & execution for medical education & scientific communication, supporting the Regional Therapy Area Lead

To achieve positive differentiation for Amgen through best in class Medical Education programs, events and tools based on deep customer insights.

Responsibilities

Insight Generation:

Build and maintain positive working relationships with key external stakeholders, including, professional societies to understand their education needs.

Generate insights through Ad Boards, roundtables and one-to-one meetings.

Understand the therapeutic area, brand strategy and external environment.

Consult with relevant internal stakeholders to gather customer education insights and needs.

Educational & Scientific Platform Development:

Drive education component of brand planning process to champion an education platform that delivers on brand strategic imperatives.

Develop & execute innovative programs to positively impact on patient outcomes

Collaborate with subject matter experts (e.g. Steering Committee) & 3rd party vendors to assemble programs

Program planning and execution:

Develop KPIs and manage budget

Lead the planning and execution of programs in coordination with relevant Amgen team members

Strategize & Deliver Regional Scientific Tactics (including Publications, Medical Sponsorships) in alignment with Global Plan and reflecting needs of JAPAC Countries, as required

Ensure program alignment with internal SOPs, including C3 (compliance) approval for programs.

Evaluation Follow-up and Reporting:

Conduct after action report, measured against KPIs with timely reporting to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Essential

Bachelor of Science degree or registered nurse

Proven ability to translate scientific understanding into practical application

2 - 5 years relevant experience (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, but not essential)

Demonstrated success in scientific communications

Experience in the development and delivery of medical-scientific tools, such as slide decks, education materials

Experience in Medical Writing & putting together Advisory Boards/ Committees

Project management experience
