Amgen Warehouse Manager - Shift Role in Dublin, Ireland

Overview:

The Manager for the Dispensary and Warehouse operation is a People Manager role and is required to take the lead for the running of the warehouse + dispensary operations on shift. This role leads by example in the area by spending a minimum of 60% of time physically on the floor, follow all procedures, cGMP requirements and any other regulatory requirements. This role reports to the Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary. Liaises and collaborates with the necessary functions on site to maintain a consistent and predictable supply of materials to internal customers at ADL and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned teams in the Warehouse / Dispensary and is accountable for performance of those assigned teams.

  • Provides day to day oversight of tasks in the Warehouse / Dispensary. Plans, organizes and communicates the daily/weekly work schedule for personnel in the area.

  • Develops appropriate training plans for assigned teams in conjunction with input from area SME Sr Associate.

  • Provides support on area procedures to the Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary

  • Acts as Point Person with other site functions to ensure that the daily/weekly work schedule for personnel in the area is planned, organized and communicated.

  • Monitor incoming deliveries to ensure prompt receipt of raw materials.

  • Meet production and shipping schedules.

  • Ensures distribution activities are performed to meet customer requirements

  • Deviation, CAPA & Change Control – take ownership for any minor deviations, CAPA’s or Change Control as delegated by the Sr Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.

  • Provide support to area manager for LMS training for the Warehouse and Dispensary staff, maintaining metrics and working staff to complete requirements.

  • Support the area during audits and inspections.

  • Can act as delegate for Sr Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.

  • Projects:

  • Actively participate on Operational Excellence programs on site, including 5S programs, Kaizen events, etc.

  • Support any projects in the Supply Chain department when required

  • Any other relevant projects as deemed by the Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.

  • Any other key tasks as determined by area management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of people management experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Between 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of cGMP and other regulatory requirements are required.

  • Good process development and problem solving skills.

  • Very good interpersonal skills; ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in an organization.

  • Ability to communicate finding and make recommendation to the wider organization.
