Our Sales Team

You will be part of the Oncology team and work alongside two very experienced Oncology Sales Specialists as well as closely partner with the Oncology Brand Manager.

Aside the immediate sales team, you will also work cross functionally with Medical, Market access and Commercial teams to manage and promote the Oncology portfolio appropriately.

Hospital Sales Specialist overview

  • Manage and promote Amgen Oncology portfolio in key centers of excellence

  • Market Access – ensure optimal local environment for the prescribing of Amgen products both current and future.

  • Translating European plan to produce an IE plan of action to ensure achievement of account priorities and national brand strategy, involving key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritisation of activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and assessment of accounts to ensure an understanding of issues, key opinion leaders, stakeholders, health priorities.

  • Support identification of opinion leaders and develops engagement plan.

  • Ensure all activities agreed within the account plans are implemented to completion within time, cost, and compliance and quality constraints.

  • Develop metrics for success and tracks progress relative to targets.

  • Work closely with European team and local Irish team to ensure strong collaboration and close integration. Responsible for sharing best practice and ensuring IE market needs are met by the regional team.

  • Maintain effective collaboration within cross-functional team to ensure alignment, customer focused planning, progress updates and knowledge share.

  • Ensure full alignment with Amgen standard operating procedures, including reporting, compliance and quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree educated, ideally in a scientific discipline or alternative permission to work as a medical representative (according to local legal requirements)

  • Extensive specialty sales experience

  • A proven track record of consistently high performance in a hospital sales environment.

  • Experience of local market access development e.g. patient pathway service redesign.

  • Solid English language skills and computer skills

Key Competencies

  • Demonstrated business acumen, with ability to work independently to find customer meaningful solutions

  • Oncology and Haematology experience would be ideal

  • Collaborative team player

  • Strong sales and customer orientation and marketing mind-set

  • Persuasive power and high degree of acceptance amongst sophisticated/demanding stakeholders

  • Adaptable and flexible, with the agility to action change quickly

  • Analytical and structured working style, ability to manage sales region independently with strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work well in diverse teams in a matrix organization
