Amgen Digital Scientific Communication Manager in Diegem, Belgium

Accountabilities

  • To contribute to the local SciCom plan for assigned products, which may include local Pub plan, as component to the Medical / Brand plan guided by Business Plan

  • To deliver key components of Scientific Communication as defined by SciComplans

  • To provide ad-hoc SciCom support to the Affiliate brand team(s)

  • To contribute to the development of local brand omni-channelSciCom plans as component to the Medical / Brand plan

Responsibilities

STRATEGIC PARTNER & DIGITAL EXPERT

  • Member of the strategic brand team as SPOC on digital scientific communication strategy

  • Execute digital medical communication strategy and align with marketing, the digital transformation lead and with MA

  • Track congresses (international, national, Amgen only) and prepare pre- and post-congress communication (internal & external) and internal trainings

  • Responsible for MMP execution

  • Track digital medical activities of competitors (websites, social media, etc.)

  • Responsible for medical social media activities (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc)

MEDINFO

  • Analyzes and articulates content needs via work in regional / global SciCom teams *

  • Support Tier 3 questions and back-up Med Info Sr. Ass

PLANING AND EXECUTION OF SCICOM ACTIVITIES

  • Timely and high quality delivery of assigned SciCom deliverables and activities

  • Ensure internal knowledge management and literature support

  • Adherence to regulatory and legal regulations, SOPs, policies and guidelines

  • Adherence to global and regional strategies

  • Delivery of defined functional activities and adherence to functional guidelines

SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE & PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Develops and delivers assigned SciCom materials and tools, such as slide decks and MedInfo FAQs, for internal and external usage based on plans and country needs *

  • Partners with Medical in the development of Scientific Exchange educational materials *

  • Ensures local approval of EHQ derived Scientific Exchange items, after local adaptation if needed *

  • Reviews Scientific Exchange materials as per SOP *

  • Provides support to commercial in the development of promotional materials with scientific content and reviews promotional material as per SOP *

  • Ensuresdissemination of relevant scientific information and literatureinternally

SUPPORT TO EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

  • Participates in planning and implementation of satellite symposia and similar scientific/educational events, ensures high scientific standards and alignment with key messages

  • Supports/owns the development and delivery of affiliate satellite symposia and educational events

  • Supports advisory boards by delivering required materials

  • Develops or supports planning of SciCom multi-channel strategy in assigned area

  • Provides key performance metrics for assigned area

GENERAL& OTHERS

  • Supports the development and refinement of best practices and functional processes, systems and standards

  • Maintain effective working relationship and alignment with EHQ SciComm and thecross-functional team

  • Maintain and expand knowledge and expertise in relevant medical-scientific areas

  • Contributes to local pub planning, SciCom planning, and execution

  • Delivers or supports delivery of medical-scientific training for internal staff or vendors

  • Delivers / supports delivery of business process, like MedInfo processes, training for internal staff / vendors

  • Publications

Authority

  • Financial payments as determined by grade level

  • Within assigned areas, signs off educational and promotional materials as per SOPs

Outputs

  • Timely and high quality fulfillment of Medical Information enquiries as applicable

  • Reports on metrics and trends for assigned product(s)/country(-ies)

  • Review / approval of materials per SOPs

  • Medical and Scientific materials and programs

  • Scientific Symposia / workshops, incl’ddigital​

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience(preferred 4 years),preferably in biotech/pharm. industry

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in multiple areas, including medical affairs or medical marketing and with international exposure

  • Experience with interpretation of clinical trials and pre-clinical data

  • Experience in generation of science-based materials.

  • Basic knowledge of clinical trial conduct and top-line regulatory issues desirable
