Amgen Product Manager Hematology/Oncology in Copenhagen, Denmark

Amgen Denmark is currently seeking a Product Manager Hematology/Oncology, for a newly created position in the company.

The main goals of our new Product Manager will be to:

  • Maximize the hematology/oncology brand potential at national level, by creation of differentiated value propositions.

  • Develop and execute Country Operating Plan and Brand Plans

  • Deliver materials, presentations and campaigns, incl. coordinates generation of customer access tools in variable channels, in line with international guidance

The Product Manager is part of the Hematology/Oncology Brand Team and reports to the Sr. Commercial Lead (Business Unit Head).


  • Creates and delivers differentiated value propositions

  • Coordinates and drives effort to continuously develop tools from variable channels to get access to customers

  • Drives motivation of sales force towards brand aspiration (at cycle, team, and launch meetings)

  • Develops and implements Country Brand Plan in full congruence with International Brand Plan and agrees with Brand Team Lead on overall product goals.

  • Designs and executes promotional activities (scientific presentations, detail aids, message scripts, advertising, congresses, etc.) in line with international branding, key messages and selling the full value of the product

  • Develops long range planning with Brand Team Lead and Sr. Commercial Lead.

  • Translates/implements international brand campaign locally

  • Analyses market research and informs the development of Plans of Action

  • Coordinates competitive intelligence and drives competitive action plans

  • Partners with the Medical department to optimize the brand performance (goals of clinical trials, KOL development, etc.)

  • Agrees with other PM and digital manager in Franchise Team on joint projects

  • Recruits and manages external vendors

  • Identifies business opportunities and develops business cases

  • Prepare oncology marketing environment for future launches (2-4 years)

  • Partners with international Product Managers

Minimum Requirements:

  • Academic education or experience from similar positions

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industry

  • 1 to 3 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Product Manager

  • Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

  • Financial and budgeting skills and experience

  • Documented track record of product launch

  • Computer skills (MS Office programs)

  • Tenure at last two jobs for at least 2 years each

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in a big pharmaceutical company

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a US pharmaceutical company

  • Documented experience in Franchise area (Hematology, Oncology)

  • Documented success in gaining or maintaining market leadership position


The ideal candidate applies project management skills and advanced analytical skills to be able to plan and run larger projects including launch of new products. She/he displays strong organizational and time management skills; multi-tasks effectively; and delivers on commitments in a timely manner including an understanding and application of health economics/budget systems/ basic economics

She/he demonstrates strong industry knowledge and commercial attitude and examines and understands issues from multiple perspectives or points of view. A systematic approach is taken based on identified inter-relationships and cause and effect relationships to successfully resolve all issues.

The candidate demonstrates networking capabilities and know how to apply advanced communication and presentation skills. Including serving as a role model and resource to others in promoting open, honest and cooperative relationships throughout the organization. That is ensured through effective communication at all levels both internally and externally, and (inter-) nationally.
