Be part of Amgen's newest and most sophisticated final product assembly and packaging plant. When completed, the Amgen Final Product facility will combine the latest in robotic and automated technologies to allow for maximum operator efficiency in operations. The Final Product facility will not only feature the best in-class device assembly and packaging technologies with embedded industry 4.0 capabilities, but it will also integrate sustainability innovations to reduce carbon and waste, as part of Amgen's plan to be a carbon-neutral company by 2027.
Automation & Digital Project Leader for site projects including expansions and upgrade activities, providing day to day technical leadership to the project team in all project phases (design, delivery, startup, commissioning, validation and operational support).
Support projects business case developing scope of works, performing cost estimation and project tasks duration
Ensure the project budget, schedule and staffing is commensurate to enabling the Manufacturing Information & Technology ecosystem to attain the performance standards required to support the business objectives (e.g.Process Control Systems (PCS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and other Plant Information Systems)
Ensure quality of project delivery and adherence to policies, standards, specifications, SOPs and change management.
Integrate the requirements of facility management, engineering, information systems, and corporate standard architectures to design the project specific automation architecture for project activities.
Support the introduction and the implementation of new technologies to Amgen OIS portfolio
Act as client interface, point of escalation and resolve client concerns, developing and reporting project results, technical guidance of a project from concept to delivery, detailed project planning, management of suppliers/contractors/Systems integrators/OEMs, system commissioning and validation, technical solution evaluation, schedule tracking.
Manage and support the execution of a varied portfolio of IS projects with appropriate portfolio planning, resource and risk management and financial management for the portfolio Build positive relationships with stakeholders, contribute to key decision making and influence the development of business area strategy where appropriate.
Performs cross system analysis, feasibility analysis, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, and recommend efficient solution. Manage multiple initiatives and priorities
Effectively manage relationships with IS service owners, business partners, enterprise IS service partners, and vendors
Communicates with multiple levels within the organization, highlighting issues and proposing solutions.
· Accountable to elicit and analyze needs identified by business stakeholders and convert them into functional design.
BS or MS in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field
Industry experience with robotics and cobots, especially with packaging
5+ years’ experience designing, developing, deploying, and operating automated solutions across SaaS, Cloud, On-prem and custom software developed platforms
Experience with several Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus including, but not limited to Process Modeling and Simulation, Data Driven Process Control, Augmented Reality, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, and Internet of Things. Some specific technologies and capabilities include:
Methods and technologies to support Manufacturing Data integrations (e.g. SQL, Web Services/messaging, data mapping)
iWAREHOUSE, Systech, Loftware, VirTECS, Autodesk BIM 360
Development and deployment of robotic process automation and other intelligent automation technology solutions
Supervisory Control or Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications that support manufacturing, preferably biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Data analysis and reporting experience by using analytics, visualization and database technologies (OSISoft PI RtReports, Spotfire, Tableau)
Full stack development including infrastructure cloud services (Storage, VMs, Network, etc.) as well as application and user experience
Basic education & experience
Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems and/or Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems and/or Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems and/or Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience
