Senior Associate—DST Business and Lab Operations Development
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this dynamic role you will lead Amgen’s drug substance technologies lab and business operations. You will be accountable for serving every patient every time by transforming drug substance processes into reliable and efficient manufacturing operations using advanced scientific and business principles. Responsibilities include:
Oversee the upkeep of all development lab space to appropriate standards for effective scientific use
Build relationships with strategic partners to deliver improved instrument maintenance and oversight
Lead and execute the introduction of new capital equipment and specialized supply purchasing for the respective Cambridge or Thousand Oaks site
Assist with budget management for lab operations and the underlying areas serviced
Project manage various business or operations related initiatives
Management and analysis for DST budgets, resource forecasting and headcount tracking to enable efficient decision making and planning
Management of various Drug Substance business initiatives like Operational Excellence, Productivity, and training
Provide regular reports and presentations that clearly summarize analytical business data results and implications/recommendations to key partners and leadership team to inform decision making
Cultivate dynamic relationships with scientists & key Drug Substance team members to better serve their needs in the lab & business operations

Master's degree OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of operations experience OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of operations experience OR
HSD/GED and 8 years of operations experience
