QS&T provides scientific and technology expertise and applies risk-based strategies to ensure Amgen’s products continue to meet evolving Quality and regulatory expectations throughout their lifecycle. We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance Amgen’s innovation strategies. We are responsible for oversight of commercial specifications, stability, comparability, annual product reviews, statistical analysis support, inspection preparation as well as Quality oversight for clinical and commercial programs at Amgen’s Thousand Oaks facility.
Our Cambridge, Massachusetts location is seeking a co-op who has been trained in the field of information technology and/or computer science. The focus of this 6 month assignment will be on development and maintenance information systems (including SharePoint) that support QS&T functional areas and their stakeholders. The co-op will work together with Amgen scientists to develop sites and tools used for sharing of technical/regulatory information. In addition to developing sites and tools, the ideal candidate will take the initiative to identify gaps in our knowledge by taking advantage of their technical expertise and academic connections.
Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a Master’s program for a Masters internship OR a PhD internship from an accredited college or university
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Degree concentration(s) in information sciences or life sciences.
Demonstrated expertise in website/SharePoint development
Excellent organization skills, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well in teams
Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong work ethic
Excellent attention to detail
