We are seeking a talented bioinformatician who loves to leverage informatics tools to solve biological problems. What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will help bridge the gap between complex biological data and game-changing insights. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing novel computational methods and bioinformatic tools to manipulate, visualize, and analyze nucleic acid and protein data sets.
Extending and improving production pipelines for analyzing single-cell and bulk immunoglobulin repertoire sequencing data.
Working closely with front- and back-end developers to enable effective storage, processing, and visualization of large complex datasets.
Collaborating with wet-lab scientists to design and interpret experiments for high-throughput sequence analysis of various antibody generating platforms.
What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a detail-oriented individual with these qualifications:
A graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with ideally 6+ years of experience
Experience working in a matrix team environment
Proficiency in at least one common coding language (Python and R preferred)
Experience working with high-throughput functional screening and next generation sequencing data
Versed in modelling, designing, testing, and debugging code
A proven ability to find creative and functional solutions to complicated problems
The ability to translate complex ideas in a straightforward manner and to communicate effectively with colleagues from different fields
Excellent documentation skills with an outstanding attention to detail
Preferred But Not Required Qualifications
A strong foundation in statistical analysis
An understanding of the basics and limitations of experimental protocols
A background in immunobiology
Experience with machine learning and AI techniques
Experience automating analysis workflows
High performance computing (HPC) and Cloud Computing (AWS)
