What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Discovery Protein Science team is seeking a highly engaged, motivated, and collaborative contract research scientist to join our Translational Chemical Biology group in Burnaby, Canada. This scientist will support large molecule discovery efforts by evaluating and developing novel strategies to deimmunize therapeutic enzymes and other proteins. Such tools will be developed through interfacing closely with our experimental immunology and discovery proteomics teams. This role will further involve close collaborations with data scientists to integrate immunogenicity data into ML algorithms to accelerate large molecule drug discovery.

Basic Qualifications:
MSc in Immunology, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical and/or Biological Engineering or a related field with 1-3 years industrial or academic research experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong background in basic immunology and cell culture
Experience with immunoassays (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot) is a plus
Understanding of basic protein biochemistry and structural characterization methods.
Ability to learn new methods and work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Self-driven, creativity, and willingness to work on difficult and high impact problems.

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in Canada is $80,000 CAD – $115,000 CAD.
