Product Planner

Our Supply Planning team plays a meaningful role in fulfilling our ambitious goals. We ensure supply to patients in more than 75 markets in Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa Regions. We are situated in Breda, where we look after the short, medium- and long-term plans for incoming supplies, production, warehouse and QA activities.

We are looking for a Product Planner to join our team. It's a phenomenal career opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional with the ambition to develop and grow within Supply Chain.

Your responsibilities

The Product planner owns the supply plans for the tactical planning horizon (4-24 months). You ensure reliable and stable supply while dealing with product launches, phase outs, business trends, production capacity utilization, component management, and upstream supply points. Furthermore, you are responsible to control cost and cash impact associated by your supply plans, by minimizing scrap exposure and maintain targets inventory levels. You will play a key role in the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, by preparing for the Supply Review, take up Scenario planning, and make proposals for management decision-making.

Scope

You will be responsible for your own portfolio of products and work closely with various partners and departments. On-site partners include Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Regional Operations leads, Regional Supply Chain. Furthermore, you will work with overseas colleagues including Amgen sites in Puerto Rico, US, and Ireland, Global Supply Chain leads in US headquarters.

Complexity

Complexity of operation is high. On top of the multinational scope, the Pharma industry brings additional regulatory, compliance and quality requirements. Moreover, the Biosimilars industry is developing as medicines are getting off patent, new competition enters the market and have increasingly led to tender-based markets. Amgen’s number of products and volumes are growing significantly over time. This is a phenomenal challenge to be run by you and the team. You will lead improvement initiatives and optimize our Supply Chain in terms of responsiveness, reliability and stability. You define improvements and opportunities based on analysis, and you prioritize what initiatives and actions should be taken first.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • You have excellent communication skills and like to work in teams

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You make things happen as you are customer focused and have an active attitude. You like to take ownership and set priorities.

  • You are an experienced Supply Chain professional with experience with end-to-end Supply Chain Planning and/or Operations gained in a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment such as pharmaceuticals, MedTech, food/beverages, and ingredients. You are familiar with working with high compliance and quality standards and are a natural planner.

  • You will benefit from having experience with Continuous Improvement, and tools like Lean, Six Sigma.

  • You have experience with project management in an international matrix organization, which requires to work with various partners and peer departments.

  • Experience with ERP, SAP, Rapid Response is helpful but not required.

  • You own a relevant bachelor or master’s degree to act in this field.
