Manager Facilities Maintenance
At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people with 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.
What you will do
The Amgen owned facilities in Breda cover seven buildings, including GMP manufacturing, warehouse and cold-store, offices and utilities. Facilities Maintenance is responsible for the 24/7 operation of the site and building infrastructure which include electrical power, high density warehouse storage systems, HVAC, chilled water, boilers, cold rooms and chambers, life safety (doors, fire alarm, fire suppression, power), plumbing and building management systems. In the role as Manager Facilities Maintenance you will supervise facilities engineers, warehouse engineers and maintenance technicians in the completion of all facilities preventative and corrective maintenance.

Coach, develop and support your team members and contractors to ensure high standards of daily maintenance operations in Facilities;
Continuously improve the business processes and maintenance plans to prepare for future needs and technical developments;
Daily communication with customers to evaluate building issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement temporary or permanent solutions;
Assess maintenance and building infrastructure issues, assemble the proper team for resolution, and communicate timely status updates to key stakeholders;
Manage outside contractors, vendors and trades for in house customer needs;
Participate in the ongoing goals and visioning processes for continuous improvement.
What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The facilities maintenance professional we seek is a self-starter with these qualifications:
At least 5 years relevant experience in an industrial environment and 3 years of experience in people management and/or project management;
Experience in a highly regulated environment (pharmaceutical, high tech, high-end food) is a plus;
Experience in managing large contracts both for capital as for operational activities;
Excellent communication (Dutch & English) and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work on own initiative, multi-task and prioritize.
