Amgen Oncology & Hematology Business Unit Head in Bogota, Colombia

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all strategic and operational matters relating to the Franchise in the Country (marketing, sales, pricing and contracting, budget and expense controls)

  • In conjunction with local team develops and implements Operational/Hospital plans for the local market and monitors progress regularly

  • Participates in the development of International strategies and tactics through input into the ICON Brand Teams (IBT); implements IBT strategies

  • Ensures optimal effectiveness of Field Selling team with support from SME and the timely deliveries of business performance metrics and resource data at the country level (e.g., sales, expenses, profit, headcount)

  • Develops sales goals and budget with GM and executes according to plan

  • Partners cross-functionally to maximize the value of the BU brands

  • Attracts, develops and retains talents, and ensures effective coaching and performance assessment

  • Sets performance goals for own organization and on a regular basis evaluates and follows up individual goals including the annual appraisal and individual development plans.

  • Drives for innovative thinking and creativity leveraging new technologies when appropriate

  • Ensures compliance is upheld within the business unit and is a role model within the affiliate

As a member of the Local Management Team:

  • Contributes actively to ensure achievements of the affiliate goals

  • Contributes actively to develop local policies in line with corporate policies and best practices

Requirements

  • Higher academic education (University degree) or experience from similar positions.

  • MBA or Life Science background preferred.

  • 10 years experience in industry

  • 5 years experience in pharmaceutical sales & marketing management role(s)

  • Experience in BU

  • Management experience of a relevant sized team

  • Previous track record as leader

  • P&L management responsibilities

  • Documented track record of success incl. product launches

  • Fluency in English and Spanish both oral and written communications
