Rare Disease Access & Advocacy Sr. Manager (Bogotá)

What you will do

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive the development, execution and implementation of the market access strategy for our rare disease portfolio.

  • Expert on the Rare Disease patient journey.

  • Develop and implement plans to engage patient communities across the country working cross-functionally with other business functions.

  • Work cross functionally to identify and support the resolution of patient access barriers including reimbursement, financial limitations, patient journey, etc.

  • Engage with payers, LO´s and hospitals to ensure patient access.

  • Lead negotiations with external customers to positively shape the healthcare environment, facilitating faster access and better patient experiences.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, effectively communicating our offering to customers, including product information, patient pathways, budget impact, and patient outcomes

  • Develop and maintain crucial external customer relationships.

  • Advise to senior leadership for policy positions and government affairs programs aimed at delivering a favorable business environment and improving patient access to the Company’s products.

  • Lead & develop advocacy for rare diseases role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in physician, engineer, administrative or any related and 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry in value & access roles for rare diseases OR

  • Master’s degree in physician, engineer, administrative or any related and 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry in value & access roles for rare diseases OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry in value & access roles for rare diseases OR

  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry in value & access roles for rare diseases OR

  • High school diploma / GED 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry in value & access roles for rare diseases. In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.

  • Proficiency in English, both in written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Value & Access for Rare Diseases .

  • Experience with payer and reimbursement involvement for rare diseases.

  • Leading cross-functionally.

  • Effective at managing sophisticated individualized cases.

  • High-level project management and presentation skills.

  • National travel availability required.

  • Strong communication, listening skills and empathy skills required
