Role Overview:

To support the new and emerging NHS decision makers with regard to the use of Amgen medicines, there is a need to engage in cross-portfolio discussions demonstrating the value of our medicines and how they can provide solutions to local NHS needs and priorities. Typically this will require engagement with senior regional NHS stakeholders whom require these types of value and commissioning discussions.

This role will involve developing partnerships with NHS organisations to support service design and/or joint working collaborations. In order to effectively deliver these types of services to these customer groups this will be a senior Amgen role requiring significant previous experience of interacting with NHS management. The successful candidate will also need to be field-based.

This NHS Value Solution Manager will work closely with the Value Access and Policy and Medical team in developing and executing local projects.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and manage key strategic joint working projects that deliver positive outcomes for the customer, patients and Amgen.

  • To operate cross-portfolio delivering complex value arguments to relevant stakeholders within the local health environment

  • To develop, manage and implement support functions to the NHS including clinical management pathway creation and/or redesign.

  • To uncover key hooks and drivers in national and local policy that can be used to support uptake within the national and local health economy

  • To work cross functionally with Key Account Managers and Regional Business Managers, building effective strategies to enhance access to medicine.

  • To deliver Advanced Budgetary Notification to NHS budget holders

  • To ensure all activity is compliant with Amgen SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree level education

  • Proven track record in a similar position with experience in delivering joint working projects

  • Strong knowledge of market and patient access

  • Documented track record of experience & success in a variety of roles within the industry e.g. , Healthcare development management, market access, marketing, health economics,

  • Excellent knowledge of NHS commissioning policy is essential

  • ABPI qualified
