Amgen Specialist Production Planner in West Greenwich, Rhode Island
The Specialist Production Planner is responsible for inventory management and purchasing of general supplies, chemicals, and components in concert with production planning at Amgen's ARI (Amgen Rhode Island) cGMP production facility. This role will be located in ARI but additional regional support in the same capacity for Amgen's AWM (Amgen Woburn Massachusetts).
Develop and communicate short term and long term inventory goals and management objectives to support products manufactured at ARI and AWM.
Develop and implement supply chain inventory tools (e.g., MRP), solutions and methodologies to ensure successful execution of the supply plan, management of inventory and scrap per corporate and site targets and policies.
Develop and implement supplier relationships with assigned commodities and service providers.
Effectively work with diverse teams, cross functionally and at different levels of management to deliver solutions, standardized processes and updates related to materials management.
Create and sustain strong partnerships across and throughout the global network.
Partner with manufacturing, quality, other buyers, and production planning to review, rationalize and update BOM requirements for new and existing products. Maintain current process orders and master data in the SAP using current production information.
Generate, review and update existing procedures (SOPs/policies), own Trackwise records (Change Control, NC, CAPA).
Training resource on SAP.
Doctorate degree OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Supply Chain and/or Operations experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Supply Chain and/or Operations experience OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain and/or Operations experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain and/or Operations experience
Ability to use and apply Standard Supply Chain and Planning principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Previous knowledge of biotech manufacturing processes and cGMP guidelines.
Experience with Microsoft Office Tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems. A degree in Supply Chain Mgmt, Logistics, Operations Mgmt, Engineering, Science or General Business Administration.
American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification CPIM/ CIRM or National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) certification CPM.
Proficient in inventory process within SAP or other ERP systems.
