Job Purpose

Maximize Amgen's value and contribute to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and/or patients through planning and executing scientific communication program and tools of Amgen products and/or relevant diseases

Key Activities

  1. Planning and execution of scientific communication strategy
  • Planning scientific communication strategy based on the global/regional/local strategies as a component of medical strategy and brand team strategy

  • Planning and execution of science-based activities in alignment with the strategy

  1. Planning publication plan
  • Planning local publication plan in alignment with global/local strategy, partnering and close cooperation with Medical team and Medical Writing
  1. Preparation of non-promotional materials for scientific engagement activities

  2. Review promotional materials

  3. Scientific support for Medical Information team

  4. Providing scientific, balanced and qualified information

  5. Partnering and close cooperation with relevant functions (Medical/Brand team members/Scientific Affairs/Sales & Marketing/Corporate Affairs/Others)

  6. Morality and compliance with regulations, processes and SOPs

Basic Qualifications

  • Medical or scientific education (pharmaceutical, medical or life sciences) or equivalent experience

  • Over 4 years' experience in pharmaceutical or medical industry

  • Experience as Medical Affairs/Scientific Affairs, MSL or Clinical Development

  • English: Business communication skil

  • Japanese: Native level

Basic Knowledge

  • Scientific/medical knowledge of Bone/Endocrinology

  • Scientific knowledge of clinical data about anti-osteoporosis drugs

  • Basic knowledge of clinical development, regulatory, safety, legal and compliance

  • Communication ability of establishing the favorable relationship with internal/external stakeholders

  • Behavior with high ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD, MD, pharmacist or equivalent education and experience

  • Experience of planning and execution of scientific lecture meetings/symposiums, or experience as project management
