Amgen Strategic Planning & Operations Sr. Manager in Thousand Oaks, California

The Strategic Planning & Operations Sr. Manager will report to the Executive Director/Brand lead, with responsibility spanning XGEVA and Vectibix US Marketing. Responsibilities will include leading the cross functional process for development of the US Local Product Strategy (LPS) for both brands. The LPS will serve as the foundational compass from which the Strategic Planning & Operations Sr. Manager will ensure seamless execution of strategy across disciplines and development/tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure brand success at the strategic and tactical level. The Sr. Manager will serve as the primary point in partnering with BAI and Finance to develop the annual Long Range Plan (LRP), Latest Estimate (LE) forecasts and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR). They will also analyze customer brand/competitive product utilization, contract performance, and market trends to identify further opportunities for growth, as well areas for course correction where necessary. The Sr. Manager will also have accountability toward the development and tracking of the cross functional launch preparedness plan for XGEVA in Multiple Myeloma, including preparing Launch Readiness Reviews for senior leadership review. The Senior manager will also serve as the lead for operational management of the budget spend for both brands.

Responsibilities:

Develop and champion LPS for XGEVA and Vectibix brands

Strategic/financial/tactical KPI development/tracking

Analysis of customer brand/competitor performance, as well as contract performance

Lead LRP, LE/forecast, quarterly business review processes

XGEVA Multiple Myeloma launch preparedness plan development and tracking

Coordinate with the US Medical , BAI, Finance and other cross functional partners

Budget owner/tracking/cross functional allocation

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous management consulting experience

Outstanding analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Exemplary cross functional/ team leadership and collaboration

Strong ability to translate complex data/information into simple, actionable insights
