Amgen Sr. Biopharmaceutical Representative (Commercial Leadership Program) in Thousand Oaks, California

The Amgen Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) is a career opportunity for candidates interested in continuing his/her professional development and in becoming a key contributor at Amgen. The program consists of three 12-month rotations, totaling 3 years. The positions offered through this program vary across Amgen's Global Commercial Operations (GCO) organization. Potential assignments include sales, marketing promotion, marketing research, strategy & planning, access & reimbursement, market development, global licensing, global marketing and corporate accounts.

The Senior BSR will act as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager. In this strategic role the Senior BSR will provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products. As a sales leader he/she will be expected to achieve territory sales by executing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies, which includes delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Senior BSRs are also responsible for servicing and managing accounts, which includes ensuring product access, and resolving/triage reimbursement issues. Additional responsibilities involve providing feedback on marketing strategy and effectiveness reviews of sales activities and territory analysis, in addition to developing territory plans with your District Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in final year of a fulltime MBA program

Scheduled to graduate no later than summer 2017

Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current program

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum three years of work experience

International work experience

One or more years of biotechnology, pharmaceutical or other health care industry experience

One or more years of sales and marketing experience

One or more years of consulting experience

Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team and matrix environment

Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact well with all levels of management

Substantial leadership experience and skills

Previous Amgen CLP internship experience
