Amgen Manager, Sales Analytics in Thousand Oaks, California

The Commercial Analysis Manager will provide analytical support for the Bone and Cardiology Business Unit's Sales Force related analytics. This role reports to the Director, Advanced Analytics.

Job responsibilities include:

Lead the production and interpretation of data for sales force size and structure analyses

With limited supervision from the Business Analysis & Info (BAI) Brand Lead, provide analyses to answer specific analytical questions related to targeting, alignment etc.

Prepare and present analyses on specific business objectives and in preparation for ad hoc 'deep dive' requests

Proactively identify insights & recommendations; Present results to brand team, and on occasion, senior leadership. Effectively communicate caveats, limitations and uncertainties with the data.

Ensure applicable legal and regulatory compliance SOPs are understood by and adhered to by yourself, vendors, and product teams

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of analytics experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of analytics experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of analytics experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated analytical skills-understands the advantages and limits of different analytical approaches and studies and their findings

Experience in managing and analyzing pharmaceutical databases (Xponent, DDD, EMR claim data etc.)

Deep understanding of marketing and business analysis concepts

Advanced statistical skills

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences

Demonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisions

Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment

Proficient facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
