Amgen Finance Senior Manager in Thousand Oaks, California
Amgen is seeking a Finance Senior Manager at its corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, CA to support the Bone & Cardiovascular Business Unit (BCBU) - primarily Repatha & Corlanor, within Global Commercial Operations (GCO) - Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The Finance Senior Manager will report to the Finance Director.
The Senior Manager will support the monthly close, sales & expense forecasting, annual and long-range planning activities for Repatha, Corlanor, and the BCBU. The Senior Manager will quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the dyslipidemia and heart failure markets, current competitive environment, and key revenue and cost drivers. In addition, the Senior Manager will clearly communicate financial implications of the changing pricing and reimbursement environment, build effective relationships with the business unit leadership, and analyze and clearly communicate financial results to business partners and peers. The Senior Manager directly supports & interfaces with BCBU & GCO Finance leadership as well as the Repatha and Corlanor Brand & Sales Teams. It requires frequent interaction with numerous additional functions including Pricing / Contracting, BAI, Forecasting, Sales Operations, INBU finance team, OBU finance team, Corporate FP&A, and Investor Relations and will be an integral member both the Repatha and Corlanor Brand Teams helping to support, develop and optimize brand strategies to maximize revenue over the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Senior Manager include but are not limited to the following:
Performs financial modeling, preparation and presentation of results and ideas to senior management and performing regular account analysis to anticipate and resolve issues
Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative and work under a minimum of direction; will provide leadership and key support on multiple projects will manage & lead cross-functional teams
Formulates and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations to Senior Management; will develop and use complex business and financial models to make decisions
Displays solid leadership skills and outstanding communication capabilities.
Influences all levels of management within the organization.
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Finance Experience
Master's degree and 4 years of Finance Experience
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Finance Experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of Finance Experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance Experience
8+ years experience in financial reporting and analysis
MBA or CPA
Business acumen & judgment to communicate and influence Sr/Executive Management
Solid technical finance skills (accounting, planning, modeling, etc)
Solid overall knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g. SAP, Contributor, etc)
Strong leadership, influence, facilitation, assertiveness
Solid understanding of forecasting, long-range planning, budgeting, business partnering
