Amgen Senior Associate Records and Information Management Compliance in Tampa, Florida

Amgen is searching for a Senior Associate Records and Information Management Compliance who will report to the Senior Manager Records and Information Management Compliance and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's new Capability Center. Information management, compliance and security are priorities for companies in light of growing cyber security threats, privacy breaches and increasingly complex regulatory requirements. Information security and compliance teams need to think and act differently in today's business and technology environment, and leaders must fundamentally rethink their approach to risk management, business engagement, operations and staff skills in order to meet these challenges.

The Senior Associate Records and Information Management Compliance will work closely with Records and Information Management (RIM) leadership in Tampa and Thousand Oaks, CA to improve, enhance and modernize records and information management capabilities, stakeholder confidence, and organizational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Support global information management policies, controls and services

Monitor records management compliance requirements and controls

Liaise with business units to ensure good information practices and controls are effective and appropriately meet relevant information risk, policy and regulatory requirements

Support audit and inspection readiness and response activities to support Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and other health authority inspections, internal audits and internal assessments, and external audits

Socialize and maintain good information management practices, portals, guidance and training across the enterprise

Daily service management accountability for global RIM services: Records Retention, Data Classification, Offsite Storage, Physical Laboratory Notebooks, Education & Awareness

Support and advise staff globally with best practices for reducing their physical footprint in compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Management experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Management experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting effective records and information management policies

Ability to guide and educate staff in good information management practices and how to effectively manage their physical and electronic information

Ability to identify and inform management of issues that impact records and information management compliance

Experience writing records and information management policies, and interpret relevant legislation and regulations that drive policy

Customer service experience

Exhibits strong communication and advisory skills relevant to information management

Affiliation with industry records and information management networks and professional associations

Technology savvy and collaborative partner

Capable of managing small projects
