Amgen Principal IS Programmer Analyst - Service Owner in Tampa, Florida
Amgen is seeking a Principal IS Programmer Analyst that will function as a Service Owner - End User Computing Services to join Global Business Services (GBS), Communications, Collaboration, and Compute (CCC) organization and deliver both technical leadership in End User Computing services area and drive a cross-functional team consisting of internal, external, and vendor provided services. The Service Owner will deliver timely designs and implementations from the existing technology portfolio, create new services by securely incorporating internal and external services, create and drive product and feature road-maps, balance competing requests for resources, and clearly articulate the business value of team initiatives.
The Principal IS Programmer Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems based out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. The Service Owner will be responsible for the delivery of multiple vendor relationships across the End User Computing landscape. The incumbent is accountable for management of delivery inclusive of Desktop Management, Computing Life Cycle, Mobility Delivery, and Print Services. The End User Computing Operations lead will be responsible for management of the successful delivery of vendor SLA's, KPI's, and metrics.
Global Business Services (GBS), Communications, Collaboration, and Compute (CCC) team is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen's messaging and collaboration technologies. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.
Key Activities for the Principal IS Programmer Analyst include:
Leads End User Technology service delivery. Responsible for day to day operational support of Desktop Management, Mobility Management, VDI, Application Packaging and Delivery, Device Management, etc.
Provides leadership for follow the sun operations model in 24/7 environment
Maintain all required and supplemental documentation related to service area, which includes: backup and recovery plan; password reset procedures; system compliance, PII data compliance, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
Responsible for continuous improvement, process automation, cost reduction, and increased user experience
Functions as an Agile leader of the operations teams, working to deliver a unified endpoint management service.
Analyze and optimize large scale projects and initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes
Development of Best in Class process and End User-experience
Provide SME services to business clients, business partners, and other Amgen IS service groups as needed
Define a service strategy, road-map, and execution plan to deliver high impact business value with a focus on user-experience
Travel: Domestic and/or International travel up to 20% may be essential
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Prior service leadership in one or more of the following areas. End User computing, Audio Visual, Enterprise Printing, Enterprise Mobility
Vendor management experience at the enterprise scale
Prior experience in management of multiple vendor environments
Familiarity with Global Sourcing strategies
Prior experience in vendor selection, RFI, and RFP preparation
Understand and measure vendor and service provider metrics
