Amgen Metrics Senior Associate IS Business Systems Analyst in Tampa, Florida

Amgen is searching for a Senior Associate IS Business Systems Analyst who will report to the Director Information Security and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's new Capability Center. The Metrics Senior Associate IS Bus Systems Analyst is a member of the Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk, and Engineering (CARE) Strategy team. The Metrics Senior Associate IS Bus Systems Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining CARE's metrics and analytics platform which aligns CARE's strategic, operational, and tactical initiatives in one central repository. The Senior Associate will be responsible for ensuring the platform can effectively measure performance against CARE's strategic goals and display appropriate data in consolidated dashboards. This individual will collaborate with CARE Director's, service owners, engineers, and external vendors to develop, maintain, and enhance CARE's metrics platform. Travel requirements may vary as they depend on specific stakeholder engagements.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee the design and development for on-demand reporting solutions to support key stakeholders

Assess and leverage new technologies to ensure that the data solutions are stable, efficient, and responsive to appropriate business needs

Maintain awareness of the changing analytics environment by partnering with Amgen's Analytics team and industry (e.g., AI, machine learning, etc.)

Maintain and upkeep the program's vision and ensure interoperability cost effective and authorized technologies (e.g., cloud environments)

Remediate problems accordingly to include providing on-call support for data and integration solutions

Work with metrics engineers to provide clear documentation for delivered solutions and processes, integrating documentation with the appropriate corporate stakeholders

Work with the metrics engineers to identify and determine prioritized business requirements for data centric solutions

Manage and support the reporting environment; overseeing the key technical contributors when assessing and evaluating future reporting solutions

Lead the development of unified dashboard displaying strategic, operational, and tactical level views of various metrics

Communicate directly with cross-functional team members to confirm requirements, brainstorm solutions, and clarify business objectives

Assist with data discovery for enhancing reports and designing efficient data stores

Take ownership of relevant metrics issues and coordinate through to completion

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of data analytics and metrics reporting experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of data analytics and metrics reporting experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of data analytics and metrics reporting experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in computer information systems, computer science, analytics, or equivalent experience

3+ years of data analytics and reporting experience

Familiarity with various application technology stacks (BI stacks) and technology domains (Data Analytics)

Proven working knowledge of security principles: confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Working experience with data analytic tools (e.g., Tableau, Splunk, Spotfire, Hadoop)

Clear understanding of Relational and Dimensional database modeling

Experience with Big Data, Advanced Analytic techniques and Real Time data

Demonstrated ability to adopt new cloud technologies and other paradigms such as emerging Big Data technologies (Hadoop, hive, etc.)

Proven adherence to SOPs, methodologies, and policies to include security policies

Strong organizational skills and customer service focus

3+ years of experience within biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry

Basic programming - Java or .NET development; C#, ASP.NET, scripting languages, and web site operations

Experience working in Agile and/or DevOps teams (SCRUM)

Exceptional teaming skills encompassing cross-functional teams, peer relationships, informing, understanding and appreciating differences

Strong ability to convey and influence complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable

Effective communication with senior leadership and medium to large audience discussions / presentations

Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate and drive organizational change

Developing / delivering presentations to large audiences and at all levels within the organization

Working in large / global corporate environments involving multiple businesses

Experience applying change management methodologies

Proven experience as a member and leader of a high performing team

One or more of the following certifications, including but not limited to:

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

CompTIA SecurityCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC)
