Amgen Manager Information Systems - Capability Architecture Planning in Tampa, Florida
Amgen is searching for a Manager Information Systems - Capability Architecture Planning who will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems, and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's new Capability Center. This individual is responsible for managing and leading the Capability Architecture Planning (CAP) team within the Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk and Engineering (CARE) organization. The CAP team is a transversal team that helps achieve Business and IS alignment by facilitating justification of IS investments for appropriate Business Goals/Drivers. This individual will interact frequently with IS Executive management, as well as across IS organizations and IS business partners in communicating the CAP technology roadmap, and will act as a single point of contact/SME for CAP technical landscape.

Define and maintain processes to help Business Owners and Service Owners assess functional adequacy, technology maturity and identify convergence opportunity in IS landscape supporting its intended Business Capability.
Establish and maintain technology platform and toolsets to implement CAP processes.
Partner with stakeholders in Business and IS in performing CAP assessment activity at regular cadence.
Conduct information sharing sessions with IS organizations and IS business partners to keep them engaged in the CAP processes and enhancements on an on-going basis.
Ability to travel within domestic US 3-4 weeks per year.
Master's degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
BA or BS in Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Ability to articulate technical concepts in a simple way to connect with broad group of people with varied level of technical knowledge and expertise
Ability to define repeatable processes and keeping it abstract from underlying technology and tool set
Have the discipline to undertake manageable risks, fall back quickly, re-assess and quickly remediate when issues arise and take accountability for decisions
Experience working cross-functionally and building collaborative working relationships
Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industries
Experience monitoring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
Experience in applying conflict management and organizational change management methodologies
Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity, think strategically, and collect, analyze and present information to facilitate decision making
Have the passion and drive to be innovative and actionable, constantly learning new methodologies and technologies
Strong learning agility
Self-motivated, directed, and detail-oriented
Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and oral communications skills, especially to Executive levels
