Amgen Corporate Insurance Manager in Tampa, Florida

Amgen is in search of a Treasury Manager. The Manager will understand how large multi-national companies work and how to work within a matrix corporate environment. The Manager will report to the Treasury Director, and assist in the procurement and administration of the corporation's property and casualty insurance programs.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

Program Processes and Procedures

Provides subject matter expertise to internal and external parties with respect to property, liability, cyber, workers compensation, and product liability and executive risk insurance coverages

Carries out collection of underwriting exposure information, underwriter submission preparation, broker communication, option analysis, recommendation preparation, coverage binding procedures, and documentation preparation for insurance policy renewals

Provides oversight of third party services including loss prevention engineering, claim administration, and brokerage services

Manages Coordinator in timely payment of all costs associated with insurance and risk financing programs

Coordinates audits of insurance programs including review and reconciliation of insurance company additional or return premium calculations

Provides technical guidance to internal clients regarding risk evaluation, risk transfer opportunities, contract insurance provisions, etc.

Collaborates with Corporate Insurance staff members and cross-functional subject matter experts in the management of insurance programs and delivery of insurance services to the organization

Basic qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Corporate Insurance, International Account Brokerage, or related insurance services experience or be a business generalist/legal professional who demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn a complex technical area

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Corporate Insurance, International Account Brokerage, or related insurance services experience or be a business generalist/legal professional who demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn a complex technical area

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Corporate Insurance, International Account Brokerage, or related insurance services experience or be a business generalist/legal professional who demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn a complex technical area

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Corporate Insurance, International Account Brokerage, or related insurance services experience or be a business generalist/legal professional who demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn a complex technical area

Preferred qualifications:

Undergraduate degree preferably in business related field and/or legal training

Advanced degree or industry designations preferred (i.e. MBA, CPCU, ARM)

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
