Amgen Associate Scientist - Genome Analysis Unit in South San Francisco, California

Quantitative Molecular Biology group in Amgen Genome Analysis Unit is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Scientist to join the new NGS wet-ab and single cell analysis team at our research facility in South San Francisco. The Associate Scientist will work independently and part as cross-disciplinary teams. The Associate Scientist will join an energetic research team responsible for the design and execution of quantitative molecular biology studies and the production of high quality data by using the cutting-edging platforms of ddPCR, advanced sequencing, and/or single-cell genomic analysis.

Growing and isolating cells from cultures and/or tissue, exploring advanced quantitative platforms, and performing NGS-based and/or ddPCR studies as well as analyzing and communicating results to the research team and department.

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree and 2 years of scientific experiences


Bachelor's degree and 4 years of scientific experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to design and execute experiments independently

Excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a team

Computer literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills, highly organized and ability to multi-task

Familiar with NGS or qPCR/ddPCR technologies

On-hands experiences in single-cell genomic platform(s), tissue dissociation preps, or cell sorting would be a plus
