Associate Scientist (m/w)

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

Your work includes a varied spectrum of cell-biological, molecular-biological and protein-chemical methods in an innovative team within our BiTE Technology department. Deliver innovate ideas and proof of concept with regards to improving our current bispecific antibody technology by:

Molecular design, modelling and engineering of bispecific proteins

Protein expression, purification and in vitro characterization of BiTE antibody proteins (T cell-dependent activity assays, flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot)

Isolation, transfection and culture of cell lines and primary cells

Independent planning, execution, evaluation and presentation of experiments

Basic qualifications:

Diploma or master's degree in relevant field (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics)

Experience in protein modelling/engineering preferable in antibody context

Experience in protein expression, purification and characterization

Interest in bispecific proteins & immuno-oncology

Creativity and endurance to solve scientific problems

Ability to perform independently on projects

Team player, organizing skills, high motivation

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Fluency (written and oral) in English and German

Skilled in MS-Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Preferred qualifications:

Basic knowledge in immunobiology

Knowledge in cell culture methods, cloning and protein chemistry methods

Start Date: Oct 1st, 2017, position is limited for two years.
