Amgen Undergrad Coop - Computer/Software Engineering Process Development in Juncos, Puerto Rico

SUMMARY

Amgen is searching for an Undergrad Coop full time student to support Process Development-Drug Product Department within the formulation and aseptic filling facilities. This role will report to Senior Manager Engineering and will be based on Amgen Manufacturing Limited Juncos' site.

The student will have the opportunity to support the Department's projects, activities and daily operations in Amgen Manufacturing Limited through the use of related technical concepts and tools. The temporary Undergrad CO-OP assignment will be supporting the Process Development Department for six months starting on August, 2017. Based on business needs the assignment can be extended up to one year.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Create analytic data reports using data integration tools to retrieve and analyze data from multiple data sources like: MES, LIMS and PI stored in AMGEN Enterprise Data base.

Meet milestones and deliver high quality results

Support special projects

Improving operational efficiency and productivity

Identifying and implementing new process across departments/functions

Support the implementation of solutions of process improvement opportunities, special projects or initiatives

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens, Critiques, VSMs... )

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or Software Engineering

At Least 3.20 GPA (General)

Have completed at least 3 years of college education

Be enrolled in School

Be pursuing an applicable degree or course of study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Course work or experience with data extraction, manipulation and/or unified data across multiple data sources.

Skills in: Collaboration, negotiation, persuasion, basic project management, ensuring completion and follow up.

Leadership skills

Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Strong technical writing skills

Good interpersonal skills

Able to work with minimum supervision

Well Organized

Enthusiastic about learning new concepts and work processes

Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point
