Finance Manager primary responsibilities include Financial Planning and Analysis support to site functions for monthly actual activities, as well as budget, latest estimates and future year projections.


Consolidation and analysis of site budget & latest estimate (LE) data for Hyperion and SAP (gross expenses, net expenses, SKF, other), including cost of goods manufactured.

Perform analytical comparison and obtain explanations of changes between LE/Budget exercises per expense line items.

Preparation of Budget and LE Site consolidated presentations for Vice-presidents reflecting Production data, Operational Excellence (Opex), Headcount, COGM, Cost per Unit, Waterfalls, etc. and execute submission to Amgen Thousand Oaks Operations group, including coordination with site finance team.

Perform consolidation and analysis of actual monthly performance data for Site reflecting Opex, Site Reports, COGM, Dashboard, Capital, Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) report, Site Leadership Team (SLT) presentation, etc.

Serve as the finance business partner for the site functions.

Responsible to manage all aspects of the financial planning process, including monthly close, latest estimate (LE), and budget; as well as ad hoc decision support analysis for the business partner.

Supports development of monthly Operating Reviews, Performance Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, Variable Cost Productivity and other reports required.

Provide high quality, timely and business-sense financial and/or technical advice to management and or peers.

Support implementation of important projects that require the involvement of the financial component, and participate in the implementation of sound internal control procedures.

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting


Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting


Education discipline/background in Finance, Accounting and/or Economics.

Experience in financial accounting, budgeting and planning with a CPA certification.

Advanced hands on modeling skills, ability to translate business problems into financial models, cross functional data collection and advanced financial analysis, strong systems, Power Point users, power Excel users and strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong analytical skills and capabilities.

Cost accounting and performance analysis knowledge and experience.

Fluency in English, both in written and oral communications.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Hyperion, SAP) and ability to learn new applications.

Project management and planning skills.

Leadership, coaching, management and delegation skills.
