Title: Junior Product Lead / Senior Associate Marketing

The Team:

The General Medicine Team is made up of a Senior Marketing Manager, a Product Manager (Prolia), this Senior Associate (Marketing) role covering Mimpara and Parsabiv, and a Marketing Associate who supports the team. All team members report in to the Senior Marketing Manager, who reports in to the Business Unit Director.

The Role:

Senior Associate Marketing - this is a Junior Product lead role, with work being undertaken under the guidance of a Senior Marketing Manager

Leading marketing activity for a defined area with multiple products, supported by Senior Marketing Manager.

First point of contact for the specific marketing campaign or product

Responsibilities

Meetings

Lead cross-functional brand team (support from senior manager)

Budget

Responsible for direct operating expense ensuring spent in line with plan

Materials

Responsible for the delivery of multichannel activities e.g. Websites, email campaigns, print advertising and digital/hard copy promotional items for the brand in line with customer segmentation

Development of promotional materials, including liaison with external agencies and the Amgen Service Centre

Brand Planning

Development and delivery of brand plan (or defined part of brand plan)

Supporting the identification and implementation of appropriate VBHC opportunities in collaborate with VAP colleagues.

Leading Patient Support Programmes where required

Delivering against budgeted sales for defined product(s)

Independent analysis of sales data, key performance indicators, market research and identifying trends

Input into financial forecasts for the brand(s)

Input into brand resourcing decisions (people)

Input into pricing, reimbursement and access decisions

Responsible for defining marketing messaging and implementation

Gathers field insights and incorporates into brand plan decisions

Some national travel may be required (e.g. field-visits, congress, company meetings and visit to UK/Ireland if responsible for dual country)

Location:

Based at the Cambridge/Uxbridge or Dublin office, with some home working where appropriate

Basic qualifications:

Marketing or Business qualification (degree, professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM/MII or similar, or working towards)

Degree/Professional Diploma with science background (or equivalently qualified by experience of 3+ years in product management)

Good financial acumen and analytical capability

Fully fluent in regulatory framework and code of practice (ABPI / IPHA)

Experience of managing multiple projects and working under pressure

Experience of working with a cross functional team

Experience of working with Multi channel including digital

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialized Therapeutic Area knowledge

Some experience of marketing which could include a specific project e.g. Amgen EXCEL

Experience as a customer facing sales/local access/account manager role

Experience of insight gathering and implications on activities

Experience of influencing a team without reporting line authority
