This IT Business Analyst role is seen as a partner to Amgen Europe's key strategic and ever evolving Medical and Scientific Affairs teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, and in some cases owning, the planning and management of the delivery of global, regional and local projects and services to them, in line with their capabilities, goals and evolving business requirements. This is achieved through deep understanding of the IT systems delivery lifecycle, as well as the technologies and business processes.
The candidate will ideally require knowledge of the Medical Functions, such as Medical Communications and Medical Affairs, including an understanding of the role of Medical Directors and Medical Liaisons in the execution of company strategy. Of particular importance is an understanding of - and experience with - technologies in support of client relationship management, content and digital asset management, web and mobile tools, and the application of analytics, in a pharmaceutical (validated/GxP) environment.
The successful candidate will be given opportunities to own the delivery of projects, and be given exposure to multiple stakeholders, opportunities and experiences, across the organisation, functionally and geographically; working closely with local, regional and global business partners and IS colleagues.
Working closely with the IT Senior Manager RDI - Europe, the role's responsibilities include:
IT Business Systems Analyst
Able to work across all aspects of IT solutions delivery in a life sciences industry - define, plan, test, deliver, support and validate
Manages requirements to Amgen business area applications from initiation to design ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs
System Owner responsibilities for one or more systems:
Accountable for an IT service or system throughout its lifespan
Ensures development of supporting system documentation e.g. SLAs, DR plans, SOPs, support files etc
Performs role of SME during change control
R&D & IT Functional Responsibilities:
Plans and executes local projects
Tracks and manages: IT related issues; IT identified risks; Improvement initiatives and projects; Support issues deemed critical to the business
Provides second and third line support for Amgen business applications
Mentors and trains department staff members
Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in Information Technology
5 years Business Analysis and Project Delivery/Management
Experience of working independently and as part of a matrix organization, a complex global organization in dynamic and challenging business environments
Experience dealing with senior business stakeholders
Excellent communication skills (oral/written/presentation)
Experience working in a regulated industry (Biotech or Pharmaceutical) and validation/GxP protocols
Fluent in English
