The Maintenance & Engineering department contains a group of motivated team members that work every day on our beautiful mission to serve our patients timely with high quality products in safe operational environment. The Electrical Engineer has a key role to strengthen the team with electrical, electronical and automation skills and knowledge. Since our production volumes are growing, it is essential that the reliability and performance of our assets remain at the highest level possible. This will be achieved in close collaboration with internal- and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualification and Requirement

The Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in upgrading, reliability and improvement of our electronical & automated assets. This role participates a leading role in setting up systems to adapt new products, (new) technology, participates in projects to introduce new equipment, upgrading/ redesigning assets, root cause analyses and troubleshooting. In this role you are action oriented and communicate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. quality, production, process development, IT, validation) and collaborate intensely with equipment manufacturers and (local) engineering companies. Additionally, you work closely with global network peers.

Last but not least, all activities should be fully aligned with our Automation program. This program dictates an overall automation site strategy to adapt new automation technology in the organization.

Essential for being successful in this position is being very analytical, structured and accurate, in both working and documenting.

Traveling to our equipment suppliers for project- and/ or improvement purposes is part of this role as well.

Primary Focus / General Accountability

Ensure flawless execution of (complex) electrical/ automation activities in production by accurate preparation, coordination, analyses and troubleshooting.

Participate in projects to qualify new production lines and new technology

First point of contact with all our (international) equipment manufactures. Alignment of plans, upgrades, external experts, time delivery and training.

In close contact with our maintenance technicians, senior reliability- & automation engineers to define the right and exact set of activities.

Drive continuous improvement in the automated processes and systems

Close communication with various internal- and external stakeholders.

Working according Amgen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be fully compliant to our Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Qualifications

Bachelor degree Electrical, Industrial Automation via education or by experience.

Background in engineering; electrical, electronics and automation

3+ years experience in comparable role in a regulated environment (can be from outside Pharma) or ready for your next career step after having done similar activities for multiple years, with evidence of excellent communication and planning skills.

Experience in doing business with external suppliers, preferably packaging equipment manufacturers

Solid background in accurate documenting, familiar with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Systems like Maximo, Ultimo etc.

Fluency in written and spoken Dutch and English, preferably also in German.
